GALAKTICA HIGH SCHOOL 90s: A Day of Team Competitions
Participants were divided into teams, and throughout the day, they faced a variety of challenges. There were intellectual tasks, games that tested their ingenuity, activities that required quick communication and collaboration, as well as sports competitions.
We played basketball and volleyball, tested reaction speed, creativity, and, of course, the team's ability to act as one.
After all, being a strong individual player is not enough in a competition. You need to listen to your colleagues, distribute roles, support one another, and quickly find solutions.
The Biggest Team Challenge — Rowing
One of the most memorable stages of GALAKTICA HIGH SCHOOL 90s was rowing.
Participants competed in boats, where teamwork was literally essential for victory. In each boat, one person set the rhythm by beating a drum, while the entire team had to synchronize their movements with that tempo.
At first glance, the task seemed simple: just row forward. But as soon as someone fell out of rhythm, it immediately affected the movement of the entire boat.
That is why victory depended not only on physical strength or speed but on synchronization, concentration, communication, and the ability to feel the team.
Activities like these are especially good at showing just how important interaction between people really is.
Why We Organize Team-Building Events
Galaktica continues to grow, and today our team brings together employees from different cities. Many of them work online every day: communicating in chats, holding meetings, and solving work-related tasks together.
But even regular online communication cannot replace face-to-face interaction.
Team building provides an opportunity to meet new colleagues, connect with people from other departments, and talk to those whom we previously saw mostly on a screen.
At the same time, the team format of such meetings has its own value. It is not simply about spending free time together. During competitions, participants need to communicate, listen to one another, distribute roles, make decisions, support the team, and move toward a result together.
And healthy competition adds even more energy and motivation.
And a Little Bit of the Real 90s
After the active part of GALAKTICA HIGH SCHOOL 90s, we moved on to the main themed part of the event — a party inspired by an American high school prom from the 90s.
The outfits, atmosphere, and music were all dedicated to the era that became the central theme of our team-building event. To recreate the party atmosphere even better, a band performed well-known songs from the 90s for the team.
It became a fitting finale to our “school day”: after the competitions, team victories, and rivalry, we all came together again — this time without being divided into teams.
GALAKTICA HIGH SCHOOL 90s became a combination of everything we particularly value in team gatherings: live communication, shared experiences, teamwork, healthy competition, and the opportunity to simply have a good time together.
Because a team is not just people who work together. It is people who know one another, know how to interact, and share moments they want to return to.
